This post provides you with a summary of the API updates we have made in Preservica 7.2.

Preservica 7.2 is a Cloud-only release and is not a Long Term Support (LTS) release. These API changes will be made available to non-cloud environments with our next LTS release, currently planned to be around the middle of 2024.

Settings API

Use this API to manage configuration settings.

Changes since 7.1

  • New API endpoint /migration/config/policy that applies a new migration policy, consisting of profiles and rules. It removes profiles and rules not contained in the given policy.

Administration and Management API

Use this API to manage schemas, system properties and security settings.

Changes since 7.1

  • New API endpoint /admin/system-urls/ to get url information about external systems that could be hosted at different locations.
